There were three Juicers to choose from and I chose a Juicer that I thought could do the job from the limited selection.

That was my first mistake. I should have read some Juicer reviews and purchased it online.

The second mistake I made was purchasing the wrong produce to Juice. I should have researched what would be the best list of fruits and vegetables ideal for Juicing.

Since my goal was Juicing for weight loss I should have done a better job on my grocery list.

If you want to start your Juice Diet off the right way, you’ll have to educate yourself a little and find the best Juicer on the market that fits your needs.

That’s right…your needs.

One question I see asked over and over again is:

What’ s the best Juicer on the market?

The truth of the matter is that there are several great Juicers on the market.

If you’re not sure what the best Juicer to buy is, you’ll know soon.

Purchasing a Juicer is not much different than buying any other kitchen appliance.

There’s a handful of questions one would have to ask themselves prior to buying a Juicer.

What type of Juicer do you want?

Types of Juicers:

  • Centrifugal Juicer
  • Masticating Juicer

There are great models in both categories, however, there tends to be many inferior or cheap Juicers in the centrifugal category.

If you’re purchasing a Centrifugal Juicer, I would highly recommend Breville Juicers.

Masticating Juicers are the best Juicer for leafy greens. Masticating Juicers produce higher quality, more nutritionally dense Juice than Centrifugal Juicers.

Here are some other points to consider when choosing the best Juicer to buy:

  • Space – Do you have adequate kitchen or counter top space?
  • Noise – Will noisy Juicers be an Issue? Centrifugal Juicers are noisier than Masticating Juicers on average.
  • Power – How many people are you Juicing for? Can your Juicer yield several servings of fruits and vegetables per day?
  • Ease of use – There’s no need to buy a feature heavy Juicing Machine. Too many features or difficult dissassembly may prove burdensome.
  • Blade rotation Speed – Fast blade speed produces faster Green Juice, however, it also increases oxidation producing less nutritious Juice. If you want a fast Juicing experience then go with a Centrifugal Juicer. If you want more nutritious Juice, go for a Masticating Juicer.
  • Budget – Consider spending at least one hundred dollars on a Juicer and if possible $250 – $300.
  • Quality – Purchase a Juicing machine from a reputable brand.
  • Style – Not quite as important as what we’ve discussed already but if this is important then consider purchasing a Juicer that meets your style needs. Example: Stainless Steel Juicers

One of the most common questions I see being asked of new Juicers is “How do I start Juicing?” or “I just got a new Juicer now what do I do?”

When I began my Juice Diet I made one very big mistake. My goal was “Juicing to lose weight” and the mistake I made was Juicing too many fruits and not enough green leafy vegetables.

Immediately after I purchased my new Juicer, I purchased tons of produce however, it was the wrong kind.

Juicing for weight loss was my goal and my Juicing recipes were not helping me meet this goal.

I’ll get to Juicing recipes shortly but I just wanted to finish talking about Juice Diet Plans.

In my opinion, there are two primary ways to Juice:

Juice Fasting and Everyday Juicing (incorporating Green Juices into your Diet)

I realize that many of you may be interested in learning more about a Juice Fasting Plan but I don’t believe this is the best approach to starting a Juice diet. I feel that many people use Juice fasting as a “quick fix” and don’t prepare well for a fast.

I don’t prefer or like them myself so I don’t intend to write much about it.

One word of advice I can give is to make sure you prepare yourself well for a Juice fast.

The preferable method or Juice Diet Plan I prefer is to drink Green Juices early in the morning on an empty stomach. I drink about 16-30 ounces of fresh green Juice on an empty stomach and I feel that this works for me.

You can also drink Green Juices in between meals as well. Green Juices are not necessarily filling or great meal replacements but they are nutritious if you choose healthy Juicing recipes.

Just to sum up step two of “How to Start Juicing”.

The preferable Juice diet plan for me is to drink green Juice on an empty stomach before lunch or in between meals as a snack.

How to Choose or Create Healthy Juicing Recipes

One of the most frustrating things for me is wasting time searching the internet for Juicing Recipes.

It’s important to choose Juicer Recipes that meet your goals. If you remember earlier I mentioned that my goal was Juicing for weight loss. I wasn’t experiencing the weight loss results I wanted because my Juicer recipes for weight loss were unhealthy. They were full of sugar because I was using too many high sugar fruits in my Juicer recipes.

If you’re Juicing to lose weight then your Juices need to be primarily made up of green leafy vegetables not high sugar fruits.

If you enjoy fruit then you’ll be happy to know that some of the best fruits to Juice are also the healthiest.
